Predatours Terms & Conditions

By booking a tour, expedition, or journey with Predatours Ltd (“Predatours,” “we,” “our”), you (“the client,” “you”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking and Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once your deposit has been received by Predatours. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send you a written confirmation detailing your journey, including dates, destinations, accommodation, and inclusions. Please review this confirmation carefully and notify us immediately of any errors.

2. Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before your departure date. If your booking is made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

We accept payment in US Dollars (USD) and Kenyan Shillings (KES) via bank transfer or credit card. All prices quoted are in USD unless otherwise stated. Predatours reserves the right to adjust pricing in the event of significant currency fluctuations, changes in supplier costs, or government-imposed taxes or levies. Any such adjustments will be communicated to you in writing before your balance is due.

3. What’s Included

Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation, your Predatours journey includes accommodation, domestic and internal flights, ground transportation, park and conservancy fees, expert guides, meals as specified in your itinerary, and airport transfers. International flights to and from your home country are not included unless explicitly stated.

4. Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify Predatours in writing as soon as possible. Your cancellation is only effective when received in writing. The following charges apply:

  • Cancelled more than 60 days before departure: your deposit is forfeited.
  • Cancelled 60 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total tour cost is payable.
  • Any unused portion of a tour or journey is non-refundable.

Although it rarely happens, Predatours reserves the right to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control (see Force Majeure below). Where we cancel your journey for reasons other than your failure to pay, we will offer you either an alternative journey of comparable value (with any price difference refunded or payable) or a full and immediate refund of all monies paid.

5. Itinerary Changes

All itineraries provided by Predatours are indicative and may be subject to change. Wildlife movement, weather conditions, road accessibility, park closures, and other operational or safety factors may require us to adjust your itinerary during your journey. We will always endeavour to provide an experience of equal or greater value and will communicate any significant changes to you as early as possible.

Predatours shall not be liable for any costs, compensation, or claims arising from itinerary changes made for safety, logistical, or environmental reasons.

6. Visas

It is your responsibility to ensure you hold a valid passport and the correct visa for each country included in your journey. Predatours will provide guidance on visa requirements, but we are not responsible for any costs or consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete travel documentation. Below are the official visa application portals for our current destinations:

Visa requirements and application processes may change without notice. Please check the relevant portal well in advance of your departure.

7. Park Fees

Park and conservancy fees are included in your tour price unless otherwise stated. For Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) managed parks, fees are processed via the official online portal at https://kws.ecitizen.go.ke. For parks and conservancies not managed by KWS, Predatours will arrange your fees as part of your package.

Please do not give money to any drivers, guides, or other individuals offering to arrange park fees on your behalf, unless that person is a confirmed Predatours employee or has been specifically authorised by Predatours.

8. Luggage

Please note that luggage allowance on scheduled domestic flights is strictly 15kg per person. We strongly recommend using soft duffel bags rather than hard-shell suitcases, as light aircraft have limited cargo space and rigid cases may not fit. Safari and expedition vehicles also have limited storage, so packing light in soft bags will make your journey more comfortable.

If your journey includes domestic flights, we will provide specific luggage guidelines in your pre-departure information.

9. Health, Fitness and Vaccinations

Some Predatours journeys involve physical activity, including bush walks, wildlife tracking, hiking, and travel in remote areas with limited medical facilities. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit and medically able to participate in your chosen tour.

You must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations that may affect your participation at the time of booking. Predatours reserves the right to refuse participation if, in our reasonable judgement, a client’s health or fitness poses a risk to themselves or others.

Vaccinations and prophylactic medications (e.g. Yellow Fever, malaria prophylaxis) are your responsibility. We recommend consulting your doctor or a travel health clinic well in advance of your departure. Some countries require proof of Yellow Fever vaccination for entry — please check the requirements for each destination on your itinerary.

10. Insurance

It is a condition of booking that you hold comprehensive travel insurance for the full duration of your journey. Your insurance must cover, at minimum: medical expenses and emergency evacuation, personal injury, repatriation, cancellation or curtailment of your tour, and loss or damage to personal property.

Travel insurance is not provided by Predatours. We strongly recommend purchasing your policy as soon as your booking is confirmed. Predatours shall not be liable for any costs arising from inadequate or absent insurance coverage.

11. Age Requirements and Minors

Age requirements vary by tour and will be specified in the tour description or booking confirmation. Some journeys may not be suitable for young children due to physical demands, safety considerations, or lodge policies.

All travellers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise agreed in writing with Predatours. It is the responsibility of the accompanying adult to ensure the minor is fit, prepared, and supervised throughout the journey.

12. Photography and Media

Predatours may take photographs and videos during tours for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. By booking with us, you consent to the use of such images unless you notify us in writing before or during your journey that you wish to opt out.

If you opt out, we will make reasonable efforts to exclude you from any published content. Please note that in group settings, it may not always be possible to exclude individuals from all background images.

13. Personal Belongings

Predatours is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings during any tour or journey, including items left in vehicles, lodges, camps, or other accommodation. We recommend that you do not travel with valuable items that are not essential to your journey, and that any valuables are covered under your personal travel insurance.

14. Transportation

Safari vehicles, land cruisers, minibuses, and coaches will be provided according to the route and number of participants. Predatours reserves the right to employ the services of sub-contractors where necessary. Multi-lingual driver guides are available on request.

For fly-in packages, you may share vehicles with other guests at the same property. If you require exclusive use of a vehicle, please contact Predatours for supplement pricing, which will be subject to availability.

15. Force Majeure

Predatours shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: war or threat of war, civil unrest, terrorist activity, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, fire, adverse weather conditions, government action, industrial disputes, and any similar events.

In these circumstances, Predatours shall not be liable to pay compensation or be responsible for any expenses or losses you incur where we are forced to cancel, delay, curtail, or change your travel arrangements.

16. Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have a complaint during your journey, please bring it to the attention of your Predatours guide or our local representative immediately so that we can attempt to resolve it on the spot. If the matter cannot be resolved during your trip, you must submit your complaint in writing to Predatours within 21 days of the end of your tour, quoting your booking reference, destination, and departure date.

Predatours regrets that we cannot accept responsibility for complaints that are not notified in accordance with this clause.

17. Responsibility of Predatours Ltd

Predatours acts as an agent for accommodation providers, transport operators, park authorities, and other third-party suppliers. We shall not be liable for any negligence, breach of contract, or omission on the part of these suppliers or their employees. It is the responsibility of all clients to familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of individual suppliers where applicable.

Predatours’ liability for its own negligence or breach of contract shall be limited to the total tour price paid.

18. Accommodation-Only Bookings

As a general rule, Predatours does not arrange accommodation-only bookings. In special circumstances, we may be able to assist, subject to a booking fee of USD $50 per reservation per property.

19. Special Requests

Any special requests — such as dietary requirements, room preferences, mobility needs, or celebrations — must be communicated in writing at the time of booking. While we will always endeavour to accommodate your requests, they cannot be guaranteed, and any failure to meet a special request will not constitute a breach of contract.

20. Data Protection

Predatours collects and processes personal data in order to arrange and deliver your journey. This may include sharing your details with accommodation providers, airlines, transport operators, park authorities, and other third-party suppliers necessary for your booking.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and will not sell or share your data for unrelated marketing purposes. For full details on how we collect, store, and use your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, available on our website at www.predatours.com/privacy-policy.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
